Michael won a Grammy for his narration and original songs for the storybook album version of "E.T., the Extra-Terrestrial." | Buyers Beware! from Val -- The stores have a "new" Michael Jackson in Japan concert DVD available from Hudson Street/Allegro Media Group, called "Michael Jackson Live in Japan" -- plus Amazon is showing a 2-CD set with the same song listing called "Michael Jackson: One Night in Japan." Both the DVD and the 2-CD set have the exact same song listing as a DVD released previously, which is known as both "Michael Jackson: In Japan" and "Michael Jackson: Bad in Japan." This DVD has received rather negative reviews and is even accused of being a bootleg video. With Michael having died and fans wanting almost anything that has to do with him, they are purchasing one or the other or both, but it does seem that these products may not be worthy of your money or time. If anything, Allegro's July 2009 catalog (PDF; page 4), and therefore its Amazon listing, states that this is a live concert that Michael did in Japan in 1985. Many Jackson fans know that he famously toured Japan in 1987 -- which is the year that the "Bad" record was released. The concert ends with the songs "I Just Can't Stop Loving You" and "Bad," which would mean that Michael ended his concert with songs that he hadn't even recorded yet--?! Buyers... beware. | |||
