Media TODAY and Library Ebooks Streaming

Just really wanted to have a page that put these two lists together…

Media TODAY is another one of my Twitter Lists — which is rather complicated, because there are so many different ways that video and audio can be used on the internet — whose intent was to string together accounts that regularly tweet out audio and/or video clips, including: those that have captured a specific event, is a “viral” popular video; or promote podcasts; or are promoting a scheduled live event that is streamed live online and then is archived and available to watch later like @SchomburgCenter or @BookTV on C-SPAN2 or @Letters Live or @The Aspen Institute; or are from one of the new online-only streaming video networks, whether news like @NowThis or entertainment like @PeopleTV or business like @Cheddar or classical music events like @medici.tv or video games, including watching individual gamers or groups of gamers play through various titles, like @Twitch; or are available archived audio of news events and interviews like @PacificaRadioArchive or @American Archive or @Pop Up Archive. The most popular tweets end up displayed on my Media TODAY @twttimes newspaper at http://tweetedtimes.com/v/11939

The Library Ebooks Streaming List grew out of my wanting to have a Twitter List of the various electronic and online products out there for libraries — which I noticed are advertised not so much by what they can do, but by the various forms of content that they make available to the user, including books, newspaper and magazine articles, music, movies, television, audiobooks, concert performances, and videogames. Also increasingly in that space are user-made media, from both non-professionals and professionals, of podcasts that discuss that content, so I added those, too. The list description captures this kind of hodgepodge: “Library Streaming Services. And ebooks! Podcasts! Databases!”

See both lists as they automatically update below.
